The Hudson Manor The Hudson Manor

The Hudson Manor is committed to
quality and excellence in all that we do.

But don't take our word for it.
Take a peek at some of the unsolicited comments we've received about our outstanding service and attention to detail.

"Anyone looking for a venue in the Raleigh/Louisburg area. The Hudson Manor Estate was perfect for our wedding and I just wanted to share my testimonial with anyone looking for a great venue.

What does one say to someone who made one of the most important days of their life such a memorable occasion? Every aspect of the night was perfect due to the hard work and dedication of the Hudson Manor staff. Melissa was excellent in every regard. She greatly assisted us in the planning process with her trusted referrals and in the organization process by professionally handling various family, friends and vendors. Her level of service and attention to detail was impeccable. We received so many compliments on her behalf from our family and friends on how beautifully the house and banquet facilities were decorated. Melissa was a lifesaver in every way. We would highly recommend her and her beautiful facility to any bride who wants a perfect day."

Thank you so much

Hello Melissa!

Andrew and I have only one word to describe the
wedding: PERFECT
From the beginning, we knew there was something special about the Hudson Manor and it didn't take us long to decide that it was where we wanted to be married. We could tell that your experience and creativity would make our wedding special but we didn't know just how special that would be.

There are so many things we want to thank you for and to acknowledge. I was quite anxious before the ceremony but you were calm and collected and were there to make sure that I had everything I needed. Your attention to the details such as the table
napkins and the color of the table clothes was so awesome and made the reception hall that much more unique to us. We also want to thank you for providing the champagne, cheese, and crackers while we were getting ready. You orchestrated the ceremony timing beautifully and relieved any anxiety I had about that.

The true beauty of the Hudson Manor revealed itself for the ceremony. The trees shaded the ceremony area wonderfully, allowing the guests to sit in the comfort of the shade yet still enjoy the vitallity and lushness of the surrounding vegetation. All of the hard work you put into landscaping and planning was so worth it. As I walked with my father down the paved walkway, passing the fountain and walking through the beautifully decorated arbor I knew just how perfect everything was.

And the reception... what can I say... it blew us away. Everyone had such a great time and it was so much fun. The hall was decorated so beautifully and the chandiliers and sconces twinkled with a romantic light. The mirrors in the back of the room accentuated
the beauty and magesty of the hall and added an heir of royalty, yet it still retained a feeling of familiarity and welcoming that encouraged the fun and overall enjoyment of the evening.

We were so lucky to have you as our wedding planner. Everything went so smooth and you made the planning process a breeze. All of your vendors were spectacular, competant, experienced, friendly, creative people who we quickly befriended and loved
working with. Glenn was awesome in the kitchen and everyone loved the food. Your wait staff was so kind and kept up with everything.

We cannot thank you enough for all you did to make our wedding day what is was. The day far exceeded our expectations and we thank you for the vital role you played in that. We would recommend you to anyone who was beginning the wedding planning process.

Thanks for an amazing, unforgetable evening!

Jennifer and Andrew

Dave and I can't thank you enough! I'm so glad we went with the All Inclusive Package after all. You made the whole process so worry free by guiding us to reliable, professional vendors and delivering all that you promised (and then some!).

Surely we could not have had a more elegant wedding anywhere for twice the price!!! We were absolutely thrilled with the service and the food was really fabulous. The Grand Ballroom is truly a "Grand Ballroom".

Everything was decorated so beautifully...the guest tables, food tables, etc. Thank you for being so generous with your time and your facility. We will never forget that wonderful evening and all you've done for us. We'll keep you in mind for future parties and recommend you and your place to everyone!

-- Ashley & Dave

Thanks for letting us visit the Estate and take some pictures with Ava. Mike and I can't believe how much The Hudson Manor has changed since our wedding, way back when! We are happy to have been your first wedding couple. The time has flown by, with a one year old child and one on the way!

We've been to a few weddings this past year in Chapel Hill and Cary and your place by far, is the most beautiful. All your hard work really shows. We wish you all the best!

-- Julie & Mike

Thank you again for everything, we could not have asked for a better place for our wedding and no one could have been as nice and easy to work with as you are! We certainly appreciate everything you did for us!

-- Megan & BJ

I just want to thank you, as well as all of your staff and vendors, for a wonderful wedding and reception Saturday. The key to true professionals is pulling together perfection from otherwise imperfect circumstances. And you did that so beautifully! The food was wonderful...the smile on Haley and Sean's face said it all.

-- Joyce B.

I just wanted to send you a quick email to tell you thank you for everything. Our wedding was by far the best wedding I have ever seen or heard of!!!!! Everyone had a great time!!! The house and the pavilion looked WONDERFUL!!!

Everyone kept asking me how I found the place!! The food was amazing, and everything just kept getting better as the day went on!! I still can't believe it is all over, but it was definitely a day Billy and I will remember and cherish always!!!

-- Jamie Y.

Thank you so much for everything! Dave and I just got back from our honeymoon last night...and we just wanted to let you know how happy we were with the way everything turned out!

Melissa

I wanted to thank you for the fabulous planning, organization and follow through you did for Tommy and Amy's Wedding.  It could not have been more perfect.  Everyone is talking about what a great time they had, so it was a huge success on ALL levels.

Again thanks for all you did.

Melissa,

I just wanted to drop you a few lines to thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our wedding day was just as perfect as we could have ever dreamt it to be. When I say it was perfect, I mean it. From our first visit with you in March to our last dance, you and your staff made planning  a breeze. Everyone raved about the food, the garden, the ballroom... our guests LOVED it! You are truly a bride's fairy god-mother!! Thanks for all you did! The day was perfect. We'll recommend you to everyone!! I'll email you pictures as soon as we get them back!

Warmest Regards
Amber & Darrell

“Bring your rings and the dress – we’ll do the rest” our first visit to Hudson Manor’s website professed.  As a first-time mother of the bride living in Maryland with the bride in Raleigh, the initial thought was tempting but dismissed.  Why would I want to turn over all decisions to an unknown person and chance having a wedding that was exactly what the bride (and I) did NOT want?  Just like many other mothers and daughters, we had definite ideas about what the perfect wedding day would be like.

After visiting a few other venues and being less than satisfied with both, my husband thumbed through a magazine and mentioned The Hudson Manor as an option.  With nothing to lose, I called Melissa Cogliati and was invited to see the venue the next day.  The drive through Louisburg was pleasant and no further away from Raleigh than the other two venues we’d visited, but upon rounding the curve and having the manor house come into view the first time, we knew we’d found the perfect wedding site.  We were greeted by Melissa who was friendly but not overbearing and allowed us to roam the grounds, the house and the ballroom.  She sat down with us and chatted about our ideas for the wedding and reception and offered suggestions for our desired date, even having information handy about the time of sunset on the wedding date in October!

With the wedding date booked, I soon learned I’d gained a friend in Melissa.  We were invited back to Hudson Manor for an open house in the fall and were greeted warmly by Melissa and her staff.  We watched her have “appointments” with several brides, going over details and taking notes, knowing our turn was to come later.  Over the next twelve months, we conversed by e-mail; all questions were answered, fears squelched and nerves calmed as together with the bride, we formulated all details of the wedding and reception.  Marisha booked appointments with the florist and cake designer; I kept Melissa in the loop as she referred the DJ, menu suggestions and limousine service.

The great thing about a Hudson Manor wedding is that the details can be left to Melissa or attended to by the client.  Melissa and I reviewed details from time to time (I think she knew it calmed me down!) over the phone as I wrote “to do” lists for Marisha and myself.

Our wedding day at The Hudson Manor was actually like a visit to the Grand Canyon – words are not enough to describe the wonderful experience.  The Manor house was a haven for a nervous bride and groom as well as a wonderful site for beautiful pre-and post-wedding photography.  The outdoor ceremony site was tranquil with a beautiful breeze keeping all guests comfortable.  Everyone had a wonderful view of the bridal couple and our intimate group of 80 seemed like a family gathering for the most special of events.

Melissa had told me many times that she could not wait for us to see the ballroom after sunset and she was right.  The word “magical” seems best to describe the golden ambiance of the ballroom with the lights dimmed and the candles lit.  Melissa became almost invisible while remaining present to see to all aspects of the reception.  I could find her if needed and rely on the fact that she was thinking about details before I was, allowing me to fully enjoy the reception, greet guests, dance and relish every moment.  Although we had never had the chance to formally taste our menu selections, everything was delicious and we received many compliments from our guests on the dinners served as well as the perfection of the entire event.

I realize that most weddings can be labeled “perfect” and ours is no different than many; however, I can say without a doubt that the right venue and wedding planner can definitely make or break the event.  Melissa and Glenn do a wonderful job in seeing to the countless details from making the Manor House an inviting home, the grounds the tranquil and calming ceremony site, and the ballroom into the perfect venue for a reception celebration.  I honestly cannot think of a detail in the entire day that did not meet or surpass my expectations and I cannot thank Melissa, Glenn, their family and staff enough for creating and pulling off a wedding event that will remain precious in this mother’s memory for a long time to come!

Sincerely,

Kathy McLaughlin
